Concrete Wall: A Quatrain-Free Verse Poem

Hello everyone!
I hope that you enjoy this poem I wrote titled “Concrete Wall”. Before you read, I wanted to explain what quatrain means. It is a type of poem which has four lines, or verses in a stanza. That is why this poem has no specific rules or rhyme schemes to it (ergo it is a free verse) and why it is in a structure/format of a quatrain poem. Without further ado, please read the poem! šŸ™‚

A concrete wall

I want to see,

and I want to jump

over.

It’s so high

I feel it could almost

reach into the heavens,

and touch the sky.

I wish to see

what’s over the wall

look at a glance,

and wonder.

If only I could break this wall,

this barrier,

but it is so tall

Oh this concrete wall.
